CBS has given a full season pickup to Glenn Gordon Caron's critically acclaimed freshman drama NOW AND AGAIN.
NOW AND AGAIN, about a middle-aged insurance executive who dies a violent death only to discover that his brain has been "saved'' by a government anxious to put it in the body of a handsome 26-year-old man they have manufactured in a laboratory, is first in its Friday (9:00-10:00 PM, ET/PT) time period in key adult demographics opposite regularly scheduled competition.
NOW AND AGAIN marks the first CBS fall freshman series to win its time period in key adult demographics (adults 18-49 and 25-54) on a Friday since "Beauty and the Beast'' in 1987. NOW AND AGAIN's success has also boosted the fortunes of NASH BRIDGES, making CBS the top rated network in young adult demographics in the Friday 9:00-11:00 PM time period.
Compared to the time period a year ago, NOW AND AGAIN (7.3/11, 11.09m) is up +22% in households (from 6.0/11), +30% in viewers (from 8.51m), +63% in adults 18-49 (3.9/12 vs. 2.4/8), +44% in adults 25-54 (4.6/13 vs. 3.2/9), +81% in adults 18-34 (2.9/11 vs. 1.6/6), +52% in men 18-49 (3.2/11 vs. 2.1/7), +32% in men 25-54 (3.7/11 vs. 2.8/8) and +85% in men 18-34 (2.4/10 vs. 1.3/5).
NOW AND AGAIN, which stars Eric Close, Dennis Haysbert, Margaret Colin, Heather Matarazzo and Gerrit Graham, is produced by Picturemaker Productions, in association with Paramount Network Television and CBS Productions. Glenn Gordon Caron is executive producer.
NOW AND AGAIN joins the Network's other two freshman dramas, Judging Amy and Family Law, with full season orders.
